1. Assistant Marketing and Event Coordinator

Job Description

HOURS 12-5pm or 12-9pm and Occasional weekend events

Essential Job Functions

  • Assist with marketing The Spirit University through internally controlled digital media platforms (websites, landing pages, interactive promotions, social network profiles, mobile apps, etc.) to drive consumer traffic and demand, for our webcast events and online services.
  • Help to develop a National database and International database of instructors and facilitators
  • Provide administrative support to the Event Coordinator by assisting with day to day operations including organizing events, contacting potential Talent, vendors, venues and volunteers.
  • Write and/or edit documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Articles and Newsbriefs
  • Be available on weekends to help facilitate Workshops and events
  • Ability to meet deadlines

Education and Experience

  • 2+ years of executive administrative and/or office management support experience desired; previous experience working with highly confidential and sensitive information highly preferred
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and seeing tasks and projects through to their completion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products including Word, PowerPoint and Excel required.
  • Energetic, responsive team player with the interest to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proofing of own work.
  • Strong relationship management skills with peers, colleagues, and management.
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented.
  • Flexible; with limited notice – able to step in and handle situations.

2. Marketing Manager

Responsibilities

• Working with nationally renown speakers, teachers, authors and facilitators. Arrange for them to come to Sarasota to present their classes, lectures and/or workshops.
• Marketing and promotion activities for online events (live stream, webinar, teleseminar) services. Develop innovative marketing programs that drive demand. Expand client base. Set the vision and strategy for launching new releases and special events across all touchpoints.
• Build a marketing plan that drives consumer traffic using digital and traditional approaches. Have an eye for success along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into marketing tools. Create and implement national and local advertising and promotion campaigns.
• During sessions hours are noon to 9 pm, some weekends.

Minimum Qualifications

Marketing, business or advertising, 3+ years experience.
Strategic thinking: evolving existing opportunities and surfacing new marketing opportunities.
Able to develop and implement multi-platform internet marketing, traditional marketing strategies, nationwide promotion.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Strong organizational skill.
Able to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor or advanced degree in marketing, business or advertising.
Project management skills. Experience directly leading people and processes.
Ability to work well and meet deadlines under pressure.
Experience working both independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

 


3. Graphic Designer

Essential Job Functions

Develop graphic design work for all The Spirit University events including: posters, flyers, advertising campaigns, design and content creation along with web-related promotions, newspaper and magazine print ads, and photo manipulation.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in design or related.
  • Proven graphic designing experience.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates inspired and creative ability.
  • Expertise in Adobe programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator is a must.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to effectively manage tight deadlines.
  • Creatively gifted, prolific, adaptable, resourceful, conceptual creator, and innovative with the ability to interact, communicate and present ideas.
  • Professional and responsible regarding time, costs and deadlines.
  • Take-charge and problem solver.
  • Must live locally in Sarasota or Bradenton, FL. During sessions hours are 12pm-9pm, some weekends.
  • Competent and able to work independently.
