The Spirit University 373 Braden Ave, Sarasota

Your Gentle First Step Into The Spirit University Community New here? Start here. Been coming for months? This is still for you. Wednesday Night Circle is where The Spirit University community comes home each week -- a judgment-free space where first-timers and familiar faces gather to reconnect, reset, and simply be together. Why People Keep Coming Back "I came once as a newcomer. Now I don't miss a Wednesday -- it's become my anchor." Some people discover this circle on their first night at TSU and never stop coming. Others have been part of TSU for years and still return every week because this space offers something rare: authentic human connection without agenda. There's no curriculum to catch up on, no inside knowledge required, and absolutely no pressure to have it all figured out. You can walk in alone and leave with connections. You can return week after week and always find something new in the same sacred space. What Happens 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM every Wednesday We gather in a circle. • Make Yourself Comfortable: An Introduction to Confident Public Speaking

The Spirit University 373 Braden Ave, Sarasota

Public speaking doesn’t have to feel intimidating — and it certainly doesn’t have to feel stiff or performative. This introductory workshop is a relaxed, encouraging introduction to the basics of speaking in front of a group with greater ease and confidence. You’ll explore simple, practical steps for preparing a short talk, organizing your thoughts, and stepping into a room feeling more grounded and comfortable. We’ll touch on how to read a room, connect with an audience, and use voice, gestures, props, and even a bit of humor to support what you’re sharing. The focus is not on perfection, but on finding your natural rhythm and presence. This session offers a light practicum component in a supportive environment, giving you a chance to experience what it feels like to speak without pressure. It’s designed as a sampler event — enough to give you helpful tools and confidence, while allowing you to see whether you’d like to explore this subject more deeply in a future workshop or series. Perfect for anyone who teaches, facilitates, presents, or simply wants to feel more at ease speaking in front of others. Facilitated by Carol Borsello. IN PERSON — no reservation needed, simply come.
