• Tarot Practice Circle

The Spirit University 373 Braden Ave, Sarasota

    * Every Wednesday * The Tarot is a wonderful tool that can cultivate your intuition. Due to the vast amount of information etched into each of seventy-eight cards in a Tarot deck, an individual could spend a lifetime examining the images and becoming an expert in their meanings. To become a good Tarot reader you need to practice in a safe environment with no judgments. The best kind of practice is with a warm loving community of friends who share your interests and passion for the Tarot. We will find together unique ways to play with some of the meanings to strengthen ones knowledge of most of the symbols and other pictograms within each deck of cards. This workshop will offer a bit of education and advice to further your knowledge of the Tarot, the bulk of the session will be spent practicing. Before you leave you will not only receive a reading from your peers, but you will also deliver one. Come with your favorite deck of Tarot cards! With Barbara Harrison.

  • Zen Doodle

The Spirit University 373 Braden Ave, Sarasota

Unlock the power to memory retention, concentration, a higher vibration, and creative meditation Doodling often refers to the unconscious or unfocused drawings made while otherwise preoccupied. But that is not always the case. Doodling may become a purposeful action instead of mindlessness. Doodlers in art therapy often find self-soothing in their mark-making, returning again and again to enjoyable and pleasing patterns. There is research that indicates that doodling is helpful in memory retention. It may help us concentrate because it prevents our minds from wandering. Doodling is not just a way to “think differently;” it’s a way to “explore differently,” too. Using the focus of your creative side, delve into the use of designs and patterns to open your mind to a higher vibration and meditation. With Barbara Harrison. RSVP Now!

  • Traditional “Home Circle” -Evidential Mediumship

The Spirit University 373 Braden Ave, Sarasota

Spiritualists have sat in home circles since their very beginnings. It was the way they developed their relationship with the spirit and refined their spirit within. Being invited to a "hush, hush" circle was considered a privilege and was respected and honored by the individual who "had the potential" to develop. They were never missed and the commitment by the sitters encouraged the spirits to show up. Joy and enthusiasm for development wooed the spirits! Today, we know that everyone has the potential to develop, and many a developing (as well as well developed) medium still sits in circle. Sitting in circle increases our spiritual abilities and offers the developing and well developed medium alike the opportunity to continue increasing their spiritual gifts and potential. If you are interested in spiritual development and/or medium development then -- welcome! There is a space and place for you here. Facilitated by Sharon Hill.
