Christine Alexander


Christine Alexander is an award-winning improv actor, instructor, producer and owner of Lazy Fairy Improv. She is a founding member of Florida Studio Theatre’s long running improv troupe, FST Improv. Performed at improv festivals throughout the country and has been a stand out in the Sarasota Improv Festival for eight consecutive years. Master teaching artist at both FST and McCurdy’s Comedy Theatre & Humor Institute and a guest performer for troupes around the nation performing cutting-edge comedy for over 15 years.

Christine’s improv based training sessions have been recognized as a valuable tool by national corporations and academic organizations, such as Bealls, Pepsico/Tropicana, Saks Fifth Ave, lululemon, Florida State University, University of South Florida and Ringling College of Art and Design. Leading customer service and sales training, communication, team building & collaboration workshops.

Most recently Christine has collaborated with healthcare professionals to develop an improved base program called, “Laughter is Inner Jogging.” Working with Sarasota Memorial Hospital, HCA Healthcare, Department of Health and regularly at Jewish Family and Children’s Services which offers free information, programs and services to cancer patients, caregivers and family members, while connecting them with others who are undergoing a similar experience.

Christine has been instrumental helping businesses bring humor motivation into the workplace with her custom program, “Laughing Lunches.” In partnership with Joey Panek, she creates personalized work place entertainment for employee appreciation, celebrations, and retreats. Under this program, several businesses have included her improv-based workshops as an integral part of their brainstorming sessions.

Christine’s “Yes, and..” presentation has been the keynote for numerous events and conferences, including Girl Scouts of America and Florida Creativity Weekend, and has been customized as breakout sessions for TEDxSarasota and civic organizations.

Christine has been recognized as an influential leader and award winning actress, her favorite accolade is hearing the laughter from her audience. She is well known not only for making other people laugh, but also for her own enthusiastic laughing. Her motto is, “If it feels good to laugh, then laugh to feel good.”
