T’ai Chi Basics
Whether you are seeking an exercise regimen, a path to better health, or simply a way to relax and find your ”center,” T’ai Chi fits that need. T’ai Chi are forms of kung fu, but are quite different than the martial arts application. While kung fu may appear swift and combative the T’ai Chi forms seem dreamlike and flowing. Conventional forms of T’ai Chi consist of eighty or more movements and take a considerable amount of time to learn and perform. While the 24 basic movements from the Yang style are just as legitimate as the advanced forms, they take less time and are suitable for the beginner and advanced practitioner. This hour class will include warm-up stretches, tapping, and address the first five movements (whole body techniques). Wear comfortable clothing and no sandals. Clear your mind, de-stress and breathe. With Denise Duquette. Register Here>
