Zen Doodle

The Spirit University 373 Braden Ave, Sarasota

Unlock the power to memory retention, concentration, a higher vibration, and creative meditation Doodling often refers to the unconscious or unfocused drawings made while otherwise preoccupied. But that is not always the case. Doodling may become a purposeful action instead of mindlessness. Doodlers in art therapy often find self-soothing in their mark-making, returning again and again to enjoyable and pleasing patterns. There is research that indicates that doodling is helpful in memory retention. It may help us concentrate because it prevents our minds from wandering. Doodling is not just a way to “think differently;” it’s a way to “explore differently,” too. Using the focus of your creative side, delve into the use of designs and patterns to open your mind to a higher vibration and meditation. With Barbara Harrison. RSVP Now!

SoulCollage Journey: Giving Form to Our Inner Guidance

The Spirit University 373 Braden Ave, Sarasota

Are you hoping to be closer in touch with your own inner wisdom and spirit of guidance? And to do it in an easy, almost magical way? SoulCollage is an exciting and powerful process of working with visual images (cutting and pasting from printed photos -- no particular skill, artistic ability or experience needed) and then using the collages to access information from your own inner self. You develop both intuition and personal imagery. You create cards that function as a personal "deck” made of your own visual symbolic language, which can be used like tarot or other tools for individual exploration. The card-making is satisfying and fun! And, it is a discovery in itself—but it’s only the first part; then you learn to do "readings," to explore what the cards you created have to “say.” The process is direct and delightful. Certain images call to us and show us what they want us to know, and the readings take us to our deepest level of wisdom. It can become a very meaningful, ongoing practice. Facilitated by Beverly Gordon. RSVP Now
