Founded in Vermont in 1961, the American Society of Dowsers is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to supporting, teaching, and promoting the responsible practice of dowsing.
Dowsing may involve pendulums, rods, charts, or other methods and has traditionally been used to locate water, lost objects, and other hidden information.
The society provides education and training for both experienced dowsers and curious beginners. It also encourages communication, fellowship, responsible practice, personal integrity, and an awareness that human error is always possible.
Members can connect through local chapters, educational events, regional conferences, an annual convention, and The American Dowser quarterly journal.
Sarasota–Manatee Chapter
The Sarasota–Manatee Chapter offers welcoming monthly gatherings featuring presentations, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and opportunities to experience different dowsing tools and techniques.
Everyone is welcome, regardless of experience. Facilitated by Donna Loughlin.
Monthly gatherings are hosted at The Spirit University and may be attended in person or online.
